A polyethylene sleeve is a sealed container up to 60 meters long into which grain is loaded using a special loader. Up to 220 tons of grain can be stored in one sleeve. This technology protects the crop from moisture, pests and temperature fluctuations, preserving the quality of the product.
In addition to grain, the sleeves can store silage and silage, which makes the technology in demand for farmers engaged in animal husbandry. The use of sleeves reduces crop losses after harvesting, reduces the cost of building elevators and allows for flexible planning of product sales.
The Ministry of Agriculture plans to continue promoting advanced agro-technologies and provides advisory support to farmers on the introduction of new methods of storage and processing of agricultural products.
