On 27 March, the Ministry of Economy, the Kyrgyz Economic University named after Musa Ryskulbekov and the Green Economy and Sustainable Private Sector Development Programme signed a trilateral agreement. The Ministry of Economy, Musa Ryskulbekov Kyrgyz Economic University and the Green Economy and Sustainable Private Sector Development Programme signed a tripartite agreement. The project is implemented by GIZ with co-financing from BMZ, the EU and the Swiss Government.

The document is aimed at promoting and institutionalising the green economy model in Kyrgyzstan.

It is expected that its implementation will allow for the development of effective science-based solutions that will help to implement sustainable economic initiatives and increase the capacity of state and scientific institutions. The agreement also envisages active co-operation between government agencies, business and the expert community to achieve sustainable development of the country.
