Officers of the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic conducted a raid at the central market in Jalal-Abad. During the inspection, a large batch of illegal tobacco products was found in one of the warehouses.
A total of 7,528 packs of cigarettes worth over 828,000 soms were seized. The tobacco products lacked excise stamps and the necessary accompanying documents confirming their legal origin.
Procedural documents were prepared on-site in accordance with national legislation. The materials have been transferred to law enforcement authorities for further legal assessment and possible prosecution.
The State Tax Service continues its efforts to combat the illegal circulation of tobacco and alcohol products. The agency urges businesses to comply with tax and customs regulations.
