Kyrgyzstan has banned the import of plasterboard from a number of countries for six months

Kyrgyzstan has introduced a temporary ban on the import of plasterboard and similar gypsum products coated or reinforced with paper or cardboard. The restriction will remain in place for six months and will come into force three days after the decree takes effect.

The document was signed by the Prime Minister, Adylbek Kasymaliev.

The ban does not apply to goods imported from EAEU countries, those transiting through Kyrgyzstan, or those supplied under approved investment agreements and international projects.

The customs and border services have been instructed to prevent the illegal import of such products.
