A Kyrgyz-Belarusian business forum is to be held in Kyrgyzstan

An official visit by Alexander Turchin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, to Kyrgyzstan is scheduled for 4–5 June 2026. This was announced following a meeting between Erlist Akunbekov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Sergei Molunov, Belarusian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan.

It is expected that the visit will include official talks, a series of bilateral events, and a Kyrgyz-Belarusian business forum.

The parties also discussed prospects for expanding trade and economic cooperation, developing industrial cooperation, and cooperation in the fields of agriculture, transport and logistics.

Despite both countries’ membership of the Eurasian Economic Union, the level of mutual trade remains relatively low. In January 2026, trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus amounted to $9.2 million — approximately 2.3% of Kyrgyzstan’s total trade with the Union’s member states.

Earlier, during a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Almaty, the Head of the Kyrgyz Cabinet held talks with Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko. At that time, the parties agreed to increase mutual trade to $500 million over five years. By the end of 2025, this figure had reached $206.5 million.
