Structural divisions of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry provided the farmer with assistance in securing seeds, tilling the land and providing agronomic support.
The Filin variety is distinguished by its high quality characteristics, in particular:
thanks to its thick skin, it is resistant to low temperatures; it is sown in the last ten days of August and harvested in June of the following year; it is suitable for long-term storage and remains in high demand on the market.
According to economic calculations, the cost price of one kilogram of onions averaged 5-6 KGS, while this year its wholesale price on the market reached 24 KGS. This ratio allows agricultural producers to make a significant profit.
Today, onions grown in the Leylek district not only fully meet the domestic needs of the republic, but are also exported to Russia, Kazakhstan and other countries.
