02/18/2026, 16:40During the raid, employees of the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with the Manas City Internal Affairs Department, discovered a large batch of tobacco products without excise stamps in the city's central market.
According to the agency, 9,695 packs of tobacco products with a total value of 1.163.4 KGS were seized from illegal circulation. In addition, 24 packs of electronic cigarettes and 33 units of substances similar to snus were found.
All identified products were seized in accordance with established procedure, and the materials were transferred to law enforcement agencies for legal assessment.
The tax service reminded that obstructing the lawful demands of officials during tax inspections entails liability in accordance with the law. The sale of up to 200 units of excisable goods without excise stamps is punishable by a fine of 100,000 KGS, and the sale of more than 200 units is punishable by criminal liability with possible imprisonment for up to 7 years.
