The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration explained how mothers with many children from high-altitude and remote areas of Kyrgyzstan can receive a one-time «Bala Bereke» payment. By presidential decree, this payment is established for citizens who have given birth to a fourth and each subsequent child since 1 January 2026.
Thus, parents will be able to receive 100,000 KGS for four children, 600,000 KGS for five children, and 800,000 KGS for six children.
In addition, parents who have given birth to a seventh child can receive 1 million KGS, for an eighth child – 1.2 million KGS, and for a ninth child – 1.5 million KGS. Mothers who have given birth for the tenth time are eligible for 2 million KGS.
The payment can be received after the child reaches one year of age. Mothers with many children who have been permanently residing in high-altitude and remote areas for at least two years at the time of application are eligible for the payment. Previous deceased children are taken into account when applying, provided that birth certificates are available.
The payment is not granted if false documents are provided, if the children are fully supported by the state, if the mother is not a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic without kayrilmans status, as well as in cases of the death of a child under one year of age, deprivation of parental rights of the mother, serving a sentence, or being in medical or educational institutions.
The deadline for submitting an application is six months from the date of entitlement to the payment. If this period coincides with a state of emergency, it is extended by 30 calendar days after its cancellation.
To qualify for the payment, the following must be provided: the mother's passport or kayrilmans certificate, birth certificates for all children, a birth certificate for twins or more children, confirmation of registration and permanent residence in a high-altitude or remote area, as well as bank details for the transfer of funds.
The one-time Bala Bereke payment is intended to support families in difficult geographical conditions and create conditions for the decent upbringing of children.
