Another major project is a 200-hectare industrial and logistics park in the village of Ak-Torpok. President Sadyr Zhaparov was briefed on the district’s development plans during a working visit on 8 November.
Three major enterprises have opened in the district in recent years. The ‘Bay Elim Company’ canning factory was built at a cost of 410 million KGS. It has created 40 jobs. The ‘Tulpar Motors’ car assembly plant received an investment of 4 billion 375 million KGS; the enterprise has provided employment for 100 people. The ‘Ak-Suu Asyl Tukum Charbasy’ poultry farm received 450 million KGS in investment and created 145 jobs.
Construction of several facilities is currently underway in the district. 1.2 billion KGS will be allocated to the Ak-Suu decadal regulation reservoir. It will provide irrigation for 2,048 hectares of agricultural land.
The ‘Raduga Korm’ factory, costing 437.5 million KGS, will produce fish feed. Two further projects involve the construction of small hydroelectric power stations with an investment of 40 million dollars and the United Concrete Canvas plant for the production of geosynthetic cement-composite coverings, with an investment of 20 million dollars.
Projects are also underway for the ‘Tashan’ farm, costing $4 million, and ‘Kyrgyzcentreproduct’ LLC, costing $3 million. The latter enterprise is designed to produce 20,000 tonnes of products per year.
In the village of Ak-Torpok, there are plans to create an industrial and logistics park covering 200 hectares. The intention is to prepare sites there with the necessary infrastructure to accommodate manufacturing enterprises. According to the project initiators’ estimates, once the park reaches full capacity, it will provide 350–500 permanent jobs and generate additional revenue for the local budget.
