33 processing enterprises and logistics centres to be established in Naryn region

As part of the development of the agricultural sector in Naryn region, 33 enterprises and logistics centres for processing products will be established.

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry continues to implement a programme to establish 385 processing enterprises across the country. The aim of the initiative is to bring the level of agricultural product processing to 25% by 2030.

Based on an analysis of the crop and livestock production potential of the Naryn region, a plan has been drawn up to open trade and logistics centres (TLCs) and deep processing enterprises. Their activities will take into account the climatic and geographical features of the region, ensuring product preservation, reducing losses and increasing export potential.

The enterprises will cover the processing of wheat, vegetables, fruit, milk, meat, wool, as well as the production of oil and feed.

Plans for districts and cities in the Naryn region:

• At-Bashinsky district – 10 processing enterprises;
• Naryn district – 1 logistics centre, 6 processing enterprises;
• Ak-Talinsky district – 3 processing enterprises;
• Zhugalsy district – 5 processing enterprises;
• Kochkor District – 1 TLC, 7 processing enterprises.

The ministry emphasised that work will continue in close cooperation with local authorities to increase the agricultural potential of the region and other areas of the country.
