    The UN has assessed Kyrgyzstan's efforts to advance the climate change agenda

    A meeting was held between Foreign Minister Zhenbeq Kulubayev and permanent representatives of foreign states to the United Nations in New York.

    Kyrgyzstan was visited by permanent representatives of foreign states to the UN, including Angola, Belize, Ghana, Kenya, Congo, Malta, Mauritius, Mozambique, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Saint Lucia, Senegal and Rwanda.

    During the visit, the ambassadors met with Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeenbek Kulubaev.

    The minister briefed the ambassadors on reforms in the country's social and economic development and emphasised the importance of developing cooperation with UN member states.

    The permanent representatives of foreign states to the UN highly appreciated Kyrgyzstan's activities in promoting global initiatives such as climate change, the promotion of the mountain agenda, biodiversity conservation, sustainable development, as well as security and peace issues.

    The parties exchanged views on the international agenda, the geopolitical situation in the world, cooperation in Central Asia and current global issues.

    The ambassadors of foreign states also visited the state institution «Kyzmat», the UN House in Kyrgyzstan, as well as historical and cultural sites of the country.
