Ten public gardens have been created in Osh on the site of derelict areas

Ten modern public gardens were opened and put into use in the city of Osh in a single day. The previously neglected areas have been completely refurbished and transformed into pleasant recreational spaces for the city’s residents.

All the work was carried out by the municipal enterprise Osh City Landscaping and Greening Combine.

In Osh, the new public gardens have been opened on several key streets and locations. Landscaped public spaces have appeared on Razzakov Street, Shakirov Street, and also on Alymbek-Datka Street, where two public gardens have been created near a specialist hospital. In addition, new recreational areas have been created at the junction of Shota Rustaveli and Mominov Streets, and on Baitemirov and Isanov Streets, where the Red Crescent Society was involved in the design of the public space.

Pavements have been laid in all public spaces, and modern lighting, benches and litter bins have been installed. In some areas, work has also been carried out to renovate the facades of apartment blocks.

The total area of the new green spaces is 2.57 hectares. The project aims to improve the city’s architectural appearance, the environmental situation and create a comfortable urban environment.

The Mayor of Osh, Zhanarbek Akayev, noted that the greening work will continue, and a decision has already been taken to create a further 10 public gardens, designed to improve the quality of life for the city’s residents.
