1.4 billion KGS were invested in the refurbishment of the ‘Manas Ordo’ complex

On 11 September, President Sadyr Zhaparov took part in the opening of the refurbished facilities at the Kyrgyz National Complex ‘Manas Ordo’ in the city of Talas.

In his speech, the Head of State stated that 1.4 billion KGS had been allocated from the state budget for the complex’s renovation. He noted that the project is regarded as a strategic initiative aimed at preserving the historical and cultural heritage and developing the complex as a modern museum space.

As part of the refurbishment, a conference hall, a multi-purpose administrative building and the Pilgrims’ House, as well as other facilities, have been constructed on the ‘Manas Ordo’ site.

The museum’s floor area has increased from 700 to 1,090 square metres. The renovated complex is set to utilise digital technologies to conduct guided tours and present materials on the ancient history of the Kyrgyz people.

According to Sadyr Zaparov, the project aims to combine historical heritage with modern technologies and should contribute to the development of the complex as a cultural and tourist attraction.

The President also noted that investment in infrastructure must go hand in hand with the preservation of the national cultural heritage. He described the renovation of ‘Manas Ordo’ as one of the major investments in the preservation of cultural heritage and the spiritual development of future generations.
