A former top executive of Optima Bank has joined the board of directors of the State Development Bank of Kyrgyzstan

There have been changes to the board of directors of the State Development Bank of Kyrgyzstan. Ulanbek Asanakunov has been elected as a new member of the board of directors.

According to the bank, the decision was made by the sole shareholder, the Cabinet of Ministers, on May 21.

Asanakunov is known as the former managing director of Optima Bank. In addition, in April 2024, he was part of the updated board of directors of the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange.

Ulanbek Asanakunov’s name had also previously appeared in the shareholder structure of OJSC “MFC “InvesCor SA.” In 2024, it was reported that he had joined the company’s list of shareholders with a 25% stake following a change in ownership structure, in which the stake of the Mongolian “Invescore” NBFI JSC was reduced from 100% to 70%.

However, according to the company’s 2025 financial statements, Asanakunov is no longer listed among shareholders holding more than 5% of the capital. According to current data, 92.96% of InvesCor SA’s capital is once again owned by the Mongolian company InvesCore NBFI JSC.
