09/08/2025, 15:10Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev visited a special boarding school for blind and visually impaired children in the capital.
During his visit, Adylbek Kasymaliyev familiarised himself with the learning and living conditions of students who had arrived from all regions of Kyrgyzstan. The boarding school implements educational programmes using Braille and block print. Education is provided from grades 1 to 11, starting from the age of 6-7.
The Prime Minister inspected the school buildings, dormitory, training workshops, sports ground, canteen, sports and assembly halls, and medical centre. A meeting was held with the management and teaching staff of the boarding school.
Following the inspection, it was noted that the boarding school, which has been operating since 1939, requires comprehensive renovation.
During the inspection of the school building, Adylbek Kasymaliyev instructed that preparations begin for proposals to build a new modern boarding school that meets all the necessary requirements.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers also instructed that the necessary special equipment for the educational process, taking into account the health characteristics of students (tactile boards, visual and relief surfaces, 3D maps, smart glasses and canes), be purchased in the near future.
