In the Suzak District, 1.4 hectares of agricultural land will be allocated to resettled residents due to railway construction

The Cabinet of Ministers has reclassified 1.4 hectares of agricultural land in the Suzak district of the Jalal-Abad region as land within settlement areas. These plots are to be allocated to citizens who will be resettled due to the construction of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway.

According to Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 642 of 25 September, this concerns 1.4 hectares of rain-fed arable land within plot No. 410 of the Barpyny Aiyl Aymak. The land is state-owned.

Following its reclassification, the plot will be used to provide equivalent land to those being resettled.

The Suzak District State Administration has been instructed to:

• amend the land registry documents;
• draw up and approve town planning documentation;
• ensure the land is used for its intended purpose.

When developing the plot, the authorities must organise the drainage of rainwater and meltwater, take measures to protect against earthquakes, and comply with environmental and health standards.

If objects of historical and cultural heritage are discovered during excavations or construction, an archaeologist must be involved in the work.

If the plot is not used, or is used for purposes other than those intended, the district administration must take measures to restore it to its original condition.

The decree will come into force 10 days after its official publication.
