11/04/2024, 11:15At the annual National Forum dedicated to the topic ‘Human Capital and Sustainable Development’, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov reported that Kyrgyzstan's GDP per capita may reach approximately $2,500 by the end of this year.
He emphasised that human capital is the basis of the growth and prosperity of the country and noted the need to unlock it.
‘Last year the GDP exceeded 1.2 trillion KGS and this year it is expected to grow to 1.5 trillion KGS. GDP per capita has doubled in the last four years and the country's budget has tripled in three years, with it likely to exceed 660 billion KGS in 2024,’ he said.
The Cabinet Chairman emphasised the importance of state integrity, people's unity and the need for tax timely payment to ensure the country's sustainable development.
