    In Tashkent, representatives of Kyrgyzstan discussed the situation of Turkic diasporas and increasing their role

    A meeting of heads of institutions dealing with diaspora affairs was held in Tashkent.
    The event gathered representatives of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration, as well as the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan.

    The organization's Deputy Secretary General Merey Mukajan participated along with government agencies and civil society organizations from Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan that manage diaspora policy.

    The agenda of the meeting included discussions on the current situation of Turkic diasporas, efforts to develop cooperation and coordination with diasporas, as well as enhancing the role of relevant programs.

    Special attention was paid to suggestions for improving programs that strengthen the capacity of these communities, as well as organizing internships for responsible representatives of diasporas.

    The next meeting of heads of diaspora institutions will be held in Hungary in 2025.
