Kyrgyzstan’s GDP in 2027 is forecast to reach 2.7 trillion KGS

The draft ‘Main Directions of Kyrgyzstan’s Fiscal Policy for 2027–2031’ envisages real GDP growth of 8.3 per cent in 2027. The nominal size of the economy is forecast at 2.7 trillion KGS.

According to the forecast, real GDP could grow by 10.4 per cent in 2028 and by 7.4 per cent in 2029.

According to the government’s calculations, nominal GDP will amount to:

• in 2027 – 2.74 trillion KGS;
• in 2028 – 3.24 trillion KGS;
• in 2029 – 3.72 trillion KGS.

By way of comparison, the expected nominal GDP for 2026 is 2.35 trillion KGS.

According to the forecast, the main contributors to economic growth in the coming years will be the services sector, construction, industry and agriculture.

In 2027, growth in the services sector is expected to reach 7.8 per cent, in construction 19.7 per cent, in agriculture 3.5 per cent, and in industry 5.3 per cent.

In 2028, the highest growth rates are forecast for construction (16.7 per cent) and industry (18.8 per cent). In 2029, construction is projected to grow by 11.8 per cent and industry by 5.3 per cent.

However, the forecast anticipates a gradual slowdown in GDP growth after 2028: from 10.4 per cent to 7.4 per cent.
