08/07/2025, 13:21During a working trip to the Talas region, Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev familiarised himself with the current state of work at the Bala-Saruu hydroelectric power plant.
The Bala-Saruu HPP is located on the Kirov Reservoir in the Talas region and has a total capacity of 25 MW. Currently, all three hydroelectric units of the Bala-Saruu HPP are operating at full capacity, and daily electricity generation currently stands at around 300,000 kWh.
Over the past seven months, the hydroelectric power plant has generated 74 million kWh, which is 92.5% of the planned output for 2025 (80 million kWh).
Currently, the Bala-Saruu HPP provides electricity to more than 30,000 customers in the Talas region.
After familiarising himself with the active work of the hydroelectric power plant, the minister instructed that high-quality preparations be made for the upcoming autumn-winter season.
