    Over half a million traffic offenders identified in Kyrgyzstan in seven months

    The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has summarized the results of its work for January–July 2025. During this period, inspectors recorded 689,248 traffic violations.

    Most cases were related to speeding—106,965 drivers.

    A total of 9,534 people were detained for drunk driving, and 13,433 for driving into oncoming traffic. A total of 25,114 drivers were caught driving without documents, and 4,432 with illegally tinted windows. A total of 805 traffic offenders were recorded.

    93,313 vehicles were temporarily impounded.

    At an operational meeting, the head of the GUOBDD, Zhenishbek Dzhorobekov, demanded that his subordinates strengthen the prevention of road accidents, especially those involving children, and also reminded them of the need to strictly observe the law and discipline. Inspectors should pay particular attention to road safety during the tourist season.
