09/04/2025, 12:00State Tax Service employees have been detained for extorting a bribe of 100,000 KGS. This was reported by the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As part of measures aimed at identifying, preventing and suppressing corruption in the fiscal authorities, based on the materials of a criminal case initiated on the grounds of a crime under Article 343 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, the head of the State Tax Service department for the Leninsky district, T.U.H., and the chief inspector of the department, O.U.Zh., were detained on 2 September while receiving 50,000 KGS.
As a result of the investigation, these officials were detained and, in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, placed in the temporary detention facility of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Currently, the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic is continuing its active efforts to dismantle corruption in fiscal and other authorities.
