The main purpose of the plant is to recycle garbage with the subsequent production of electricity. At the first stage, the plant will process up to 1,000 tons of waste per day, generating 460 MW of electricity daily, which is about 180 thousand MW per year.
With an average consumption of 5-10 kWh per apartment, it turns out that the electricity generated at the plant will be enough to provide light to more than 46 thousand apartments every day.
It is planned that with the increase of the plant's capacity the daily volume of waste processing will reach 3 thousand tons, which will significantly increase its productivity.
The project is being implemented on an area of 12 hectares. At the moment, the key construction stages have been completed: the foundations of the administrative building and the main workshop have been poured, concrete works up to the fourth floor have been completed, more than 1 thousand meters of access road have been built, the site has been leveled and 35 thousand cubic meters of gravel have been laid.
More than 200 workers from China are involved in the construction, for whom a temporary dormitory for 500 people and an office for the company's employees have been built.
Investments in the project amount to about $95 million. Completion of construction and commissioning of the plant are scheduled for December 2025.
