05/09/2026, 15:19The average monthly salary for women in Kyrgyzstan in 2025 was 33,558 KGS, compared to 51,096 KGS for men. Thus, women earn, on average, 65.7% of men’s wages.
The largest gap was recorded in the transportation and warehousing sector. Here, men earn an average of 59,174 KGS, while women earn 35,899 KGS. Women’s wages in the sector amount to only 60.7% of men’s.
A significant difference is also observed in the manufacturing sector, where women earn 47,505 KGS compared to 71,877 KGS for men, as well as in the financial sector—66,504 KGS versus 86,909 KGS.
At the same time, there are sectors where pay levels have nearly evened out. For example, in healthcare, women earn 99% of men’s wages, and in education—96.3%.
The only sector where the average wage for women was higher than that for men was the hotel and restaurant industry. Here, women earn an average of 33,877 KGS, while men earn 31,575 KGS.
The highest salaries among men are found in financial intermediation and insurance, as well as in the information and communications sector. Among women, the same sectors lead—information and communications, as well as the financial sector.
