On 2 February 2025, Minister of Economy Bakyt Sydykov took part in the international forum Women in Tech Kyrgyzstan 2025, where he stressed the important role of women in the digital transformation of the country.

In his speech, the Minister noted that women in the IT sector help to overcome gender stereotypes, contribute to the development of creative economy and implementation of innovative solutions. According to him, women's participation in the technology industry increases the likelihood of unique developments aimed at a wide range of users.

Sydykov also spoke about government initiatives to support women in business and IT, including:

Creation of the Creative Industries Park

The activities of the High Technology Park, which has been promoting the growth of the IT sector in Kyrgyzstan since 2011.

‘Today IT is not just a sphere of innovation, but an opportunity for women to realise their potential and create projects that change people's lives. We must develop an environment where every woman can unlock her abilities and contribute to the country's economy,’ the minister said.

The Women in Tech Kyrgyzstan 2025 Forum brought together representatives of business, IT companies, government agencies and educational institutions to discuss strategies for the development of women's leadership in the technology sector.
