The key innovation concerns working pensioners: it is proposed to reduce the pension contribution rate for them from 8% to 2%. The benefit will apply to those who work in non-profit organisations, public funds, cooperatives, homeowners' associations and religious organisations.
The initiator of the bill, MP Dastan Bekeshev, stressed that this measure will reduce the financial burden on pensioners who continue to work and encourage their participation in the social and economic life of the country.
In addition, the bill provides for the possibility of voluntarily contributing additional funds to the State Accumulative Pension Fund — at least 2% of the average monthly salary.
