Jogorku Kenesh approved the creation of the Tamchy special investment zone

On June 19, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh supported the creation of a special financial and investment zone “Tamchy”. They immediately in three readings adopted several bills that give this territory a special legal status and simplify the rules for business.

The proposal was made by the chairman of the Cabinet, and the details of the bills were presented by Economy Minister Bakyt Sydykov.

The Tamchy zone is planned to be developed as a place for investment in tourism, manufacturing, resort sphere, transportation and other sectors. The law defines how this territory will work, who will manage it and what conditions there will be for investors.
