Gold prices fell overnight: the price of a troy ounce dropped by more than 3,000 KGS

On 23 April 2026, a fall in prices for standard gold bars was recorded in Kyrgyzstan. The market’s main benchmark—the troy ounce—showed a significant drop in price, specifically in terms of the buy-back price.

A bar weighing 31.1035 grams fell in price by 3,130 KGS over the past 24 hours. Whilst the buy-back price stood at 419,858 KGS on 22 April, it fell to 416,728 KGS the following day.

The decline also affected other denominations, although the trend appears less pronounced in absolute terms. Thus, the buyback price of a 10-gram bar fell by 1,008 KGS, a 5-gram bar by 504 KGS, a 2-gram bar by 200 KGS, and a 1-gram bar by 100.5 KGS.
