Optima Bank

Optima Bank OJSC was established on May 7, 1992. Initially it was called Kyrgyz Commercial Bank for Assistance to Entrepreneurship “Kyrgyzmelbusinessbank”. In 1993, the bank was renamed to Kyrgyz Commercial Bank for Development and Reconstruction of Power Industry “Kyrgyzenergobank”. In June 2001, Kyrgyzenergobank was renamed OJSC Energobank. On December 14, 2006, by the decision of the extraordinary meeting of shareholders, OJSC “Energobank” was renamed into OJSC “ATFBank-Kyrgyzstan”.

In 2010, after the acquisition of the parent company in Kazakhstan - ATFBank JSC by UniCredit Group, a large European financial institution, the Bank in the Kyrgyz Republic was renamed UniCredit Bank OJSC. Over the years, the Bank has introduced European standards of business conduct, world-class customer service quality and the practice of continuous monitoring of customer satisfaction. All European standards and the latest practices and technologies were retained during the change of shareholder in 2013. May 2, 2013.

KNG Finance financial holding KNG Finance and UniCredit Bank Austria announced the completion of the deal on the purchase and sale of 99.75% stake in Kazakhstan's ATFBank JSC (the parent company of UniCredit Bank OJSC in Kyrgyzstan). In September 2013, the Bank continued its operations under the new progressive brand Optima Bank.
The Bank operates under licenses of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 018 and No. 018/1 dated August 16, 2013 for banking operations in national and foreign currencies.
