Akylbek Zhaparov: Acquisition of New Aircraft and Vehicles Indicates Economic Modernization in Kyrgyzstan

The first Bombardier Dash 8 Q400, purchased for Asman Airlines by the Joint Stock Company "Manas International Airport," has arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic. Akylbek Zhaparov, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the President's Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, attended the ceremonial event. The Cabinet Chairman highlighted that the acquisition of new aircraft and helicopters, along with the updating of vehicles across various ministries and agencies, indicates ongoing economic modernization. For instance, as part of the centennial celebration of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, 60 vehicles were distributed to district offices of the ministry nationwide. The Ministry of Internal Affairs received 100 Chevrolet vehicles. Additional vehicles were also delivered to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision. Many of these vehicles, as well as those awarded to the athlete heroes of the Paris Olympics, were manufactured at the domestic automotive plant Tulpar Motors. "Frankly, as the author of a book on economic modernization, I am very pleased to see these modernization processes and to be a part of them. The modernization process will continue and will become a significant factor in increasing the economic power of the country. The last three years particularly stand out against the backdrop of 30 years of the country's independence. We have achieved significant successes in the economy, reflected in macroeconomic indicators: GDP growth, reduction of the shadow economy, and an increase in state budget resources. We managed to pay off a huge amount of external debt—nearly 500 million dollars. Such a sum was previously insurmountable, and there were fears about debt repayment through the transfer of our lands to creditors. All of this is the result of the work of the professional team of our President, Sadyr Nurgozhoyevich," said Akylbek Zhaparov. It should be noted that the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400, from the Canadian manufacturer DeHavilland Aircraft of Canada, is a regional aircraft capable of carrying up to 80 passengers and transporting them up to 2,000 kilometers. The Q400 is a modern, reliable, and economically efficient aircraft. It is capable of effectively performing short-distance flights, making it undoubtedly convenient for travel between cities and regions of Kyrgyzstan.
