01/30/2026, 11:07Alma Finance Bank CJSC has been officially included in the register of participants in the Kyrgyzstan Deposit Protection System since January 28. This was reported by the agency of the same name.
Inclusion in the system means that in the event of a guarantee event, each depositor of the bank will be paid compensation of up to 1 million KGS, including accrued interest on deposits.
According to the Deposit Protection Agency, 26 financial institutions, including three microfinance companies, currently participate in the system. The total amount of the fund exceeds 9.7 billion KGS.
The inclusion of Alma Finance Bank in the deposit protection system was a logical continuation of the bank's receipt of a license from the National Bank for the right to conduct banking operations, issued on January 14. Thus, Alma Finance Bank officially entered the country's banking system, becoming the 23rd operating commercial bank in Kyrgyzstan.
We would like to add that the newly created Bereket Bank, registered in the system on December 30, 2025, also joined the deposit protection system earlier. Thus, both new market participants gained access to the state deposit guarantee mechanism.
