05/07/2026, 16:01The Kyrgyzstan Antimonopoly Regulation Service has commented on posts circulating on social media regarding allegedly exorbitant prices for food, catering services and fuel and lubricants in the country. The agency stated that such claims do not reflect the actual situation on the domestic market.
According to the service, the agency continuously monitors prices for socially significant goods, food products and fuel and lubricants, and compares these figures with those of EAEU member states and neighbouring countries. According to the service, the price situation in Kyrgyzstan remains stable and under control.
Separately, the agency provided comparative data on fuel prices. For instance, the price of AI-92 petrol in Bishkek is 78.40 KGS per litre. By way of comparison: in Kazakhstan — 45.30 KGS, in Russia — 75.80 KGS, in Belarus — 79.50 KGS, in Armenia — 119.60 KGS, in Tajikistan — 96.60 KGS, and in Uzbekistan — 91.30 KGS.
The price of AI-95 in Kyrgyzstan is 84.40 KGS per litre. In Kazakhstan, this type of fuel costs 62 KGS, in Russia — 80.50 KGS, in Belarus — 82.60 KGS, in Armenia — 126.50 KGS, in Tajikistan — 113.40 KGS, and in Uzbekistan — 100.70 KGS.
Diesel fuel in Bishkek is sold at 90.80 KGS per litre. In Kazakhstan, the price is 63.50 KGS, in Russia — 92.20 KGS, in Belarus — 82.60 KGS, in Armenia — 135.70 KGS, in Tajikistan — 113.40 KGS, and in Uzbekistan — 94.20 KGS.
Liquefied petroleum gas in Kyrgyzstan costs 43.40 KGS per litre. In Kazakhstan, the price is 22 KGS, in Russia — 36.60 KGS, in Belarus — 40.80 KGS, in Armenia — 52.90 KGS, in Tajikistan — 60.40 KGS, and in Uzbekistan — 44.50 KGS.
The agency noted that the lower prices in Kazakhstan and Russia are due to their own oil production and refining capacities. At the same time, according to the agency, the cost of fuel in Kyrgyzstan remains lower than in Armenia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, and is comparable to that in Belarus for a number of items.
The Antimonopoly Regulation Service stated that it would continue to monitor prices, work to prevent unjustified increases in the cost of goods and ensure fair competition in the market.
