During the visit, the president reviewed the district’s socioeconomic development achievements and future projects. Mukhtar Sherbaev, the akim of the At-Bashin District, presented the results of infrastructure initiatives implemented in recent years and plans for the territory’s further development.
According to the district administration, 17 projects with a total cost of 910.9 million KGS were completed in the At-Bashin District between 2021 and 2025. During this period, two schools, five kindergartens, two sports halls, seven administrative buildings, and an asphalt concrete plant were constructed.
Significant funds were allocated to the development of road infrastructure. In the district, 68 kilometers of roads were paved, two bridges were built, and two road maintenance facilities were opened.
Special attention is being paid to the development of the irrigation system. 61.5 million KGS have been allocated for these purposes. Specifically, the “Sary-Goo” pumping station was renovated; construction is ongoing on the “Chet-Keltebek” decadal regulation reservoir with a capacity of 1 million cubic meters; and work is underway on the “Ichke-Tash-Rabat,” “Chekendi,” and “Sary-Tal” irrigation canals.
705.5 million KGS have been allocated for projects to provide drinking water to residents in the villages of Kara-Suu, Zhibek-Zholu, At-Bashy, and Ak-Zhar.
In addition, new initiatives with a total cost of 885 million KGS were presented to the country’s leadership. These include the construction of a Public Service Center, a digital center, a cardiology center, a comprehensive livestock development station, a modern livestock market, a central stadium, and a family recreation park.
Summing up the presentation, Sadyr Zhaparov noted that nearly 1 billion KGS is required to implement the proposed projects. According to him, in recent years the government has been actively allocating significant funds to the development of the country’s regions, so similar support will be provided to the At-Bashin District as well. In this regard, the president instructed that additional funding for the district in the amount of 1 billion KGS be allocated as early as next year.
