11/10/2025, 12:38Since the beginning of this year, 26 auctions for subsoil plots have been held in Kyrgyzstan. This was reported to Akchabar by the Kyrgyz Geological Service of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Licences for deposits totalling $1.6 million were sold at the auctions.
As of September, 2,005 licences for subsoil use have been issued in Kyrgyzstan. Of these, 103 belong to enterprises with 100% state ownership. This allows for state control over strategic resources and guarantees that revenues from subsoil use work in the interests of the country.
According to the Kyrgyz Geological Service, in the first nine months of this year, geological exploration work has enabled the country to significantly increase its reserves of precious metals and minerals. In particular, an additional 5.8 tonnes of gold and 56.8 kilograms of placer gold were discovered.
