The Ministry of Labour will receive data from universities and government agencies to analyse labour demand

The Kyrgyz government has approved a new procedure for analysing and forecasting demand for skilled professionals. The resolution will come into force seven days after its official publication (published on 9 March).

The Ministry of Labour will coordinate the collection and analysis of data on labour market needs and skilled labour. The new procedure has been developed in accordance with the Law on Youth and the Constitutional Law on the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

From 2027, educational institutions (primary, secondary and higher vocational education) will be required to provide data on graduates, their number by specialisation and employment rate every three years. When planning their work, educational institutions must take into account the forecasts of labour supply and demand prepared by the Ministry of Labour.

The Statistics Office, the State Tax Service and other bodies will provide the relevant information for the implementation of the resolution.

From 9 March 2026, the resolution repeals the previous Government resolution of 26 March 2012 ‘On the methodology for forecasting labour resource needs’.
