Lebedinovka-GES-5 motorway will be widened from two to four lanes

Work is underway to reconstruct the Lebedinovka-GES-5 motorway leading from Bishkek to the Northern Ring Road. Currently, excavation works, installation of pipes, as well as removal of some items interfering with construction are underway.

The total length of the Lebedinovka-GES-5 road is 5.1 kilometres. As part of the reconstruction, the road category will be changed, it will be widened from 2 to 4 lanes. The project also includes construction of pavements, lighting and widening of the existing large bridge to create a pedestrian bridge.

In addition, an additional two-lane road will be built along the main road leading to the Birimdik-Kut settlement. And 20 per cent more trees will be planted to replace those cut down. The road construction is planned to be completed this year.
