Ayaz Baetov will retain his position as First Deputy Prime Minister until the end of 2026

Sadyr Zhaparov extended the special status of Minister of Justice Ayaz Baetov, who is coordinating the reform to reduce bureaucracy in public administration.

The corresponding decree was signed on June 26. The document amends the presidential decree, changing the end date of Baetov’s term from “July 1, 2026” to “December 31, 2026.”

Originally, the decree stipulated that, until July 1, the Minister of Justice would hold the status of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers to coordinate cooperation among government agencies in implementing reforms aimed at improving the efficiency of public administration and reducing bureaucracy.

Thus, Ayaz Baetov’s term as reform coordinator has been extended for another six months.

As a reminder, the president signed the corresponding decree in late 2025 to continue administrative reform.
