Azerbaijan has proposed expanding investment cooperation with Kyrgyzstan

Azerbaijan is interested in expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation with Kyrgyzstan. Specifically, this involves joint projects in industry, processing, logistics, and construction. This was stated by Rovnag Abdullayev, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy, at the SPECA Economic Forum in Bishkek.

According to him, one of the priorities of regional cooperation should be increasing mutual investment, developing production ties, and expanding the supply of products to foreign markets.

Abdullayev noted the need to make more active use of joint investment mechanisms with Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan to implement promising projects.
In particular, in June 2026, an agreement was reached to increase the capital of the Azerbaijani Development Fund to $200 million.

The Azerbaijani representative also invited entrepreneurs from SPECA countries to take advantage of the republic’s investment opportunities, including free economic zones, industrial parks, and trade and logistics infrastructure.

According to data presented at the forum, Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with SPECA countries totaled approximately $2 billion by the end of 2025, having increased by more than 60%.
