01/29/2025, 12:33On the eve, 28 January 2025, the Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Sydykov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan Said Niyazkhodjaev. During the meeting Sydykov congratulated the Ambassador on his new appointment and expressed confidence in further strengthening of bilateral relations between the countries.
The main issue of the discussion was priority areas for further cooperation, in particular, joint industrial projects. Sydykov stressed the importance of such initiatives as catalysts for increasing trade volumes and implementing economic projects between the two countries.
The Uzbek side reiterated its interest in boosting economic interaction, including projects on trade development, technology exchange and investment attraction. Following the meeting, it was decided to continue active work on promoting the proposed initiatives, which will contribute to further strengthening of ties between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
