04/09/2025, 12:02As part of his working visit to Uzbekistan, Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Sydykov visited the office of the Trade Representation of Kyrgyzstan in Tashkent. The purpose of the visit was to intensify bilateral economic cooperation and search for ways to increase trade turnover between the countries.
The minister familiarised himself with the current activities of the representative office and discussed priorities in the development of logistics infrastructure, investment cooperation and business conditions. Sydykov said it is necessary to strengthen institutional ties between the two countries' relevant agencies and intensify the promotion of Kyrgyz goods and services in the Uzbek market.
Special attention was paid to developing joint projects and creating a favourable environment for entrepreneurs. The ministry expects that such measures will not only increase the volume of mutual trade, but also strengthen Kyrgyzstan's position in the regional economy.
