10/27/2025, 08:37On the interbank currency market of Kyrgyzstan, the total trading volume for the week of 20 to 24 October amounted to $65.5 million. This is 80% higher than the previous week, when banks purchased $36.3 million.
The largest volume of transactions was recorded on 23 October — $20.3 million, of which $9.3 million accounted for transactions with settlements on the date of conclusion. The minimum volume was on 22 October — $3 million, which is almost seven times less than the peak level of the week.
While from 13 to 17 October, the volume of transactions with settlements on a date other than the date of conclusion amounted to $21 million, in the reporting week this figure rose to $29.6 million. This reflects the increased interest of participants in deferred settlements.

At the same time, the som-dollar exchange rate remained unchanged throughout the week at 87.45 KGS per dollar. The growth in trading volumes with an unchanged exchange rate indicates a balance between supply and demand.
