10/27/2025, 15:09The Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliyev, paid a working visit to the People's Republic of China, where he familiarised himself with the activities of the CRRC Electric plant, one of the largest manufacturers of electric buses and new-generation public transport.
During the visit, the mayor studied in detail the technological processes involved in the production of electric buses, including energy-saving systems, autonomous driving and charging infrastructure.
The visit to the plant is aimed at finding solutions for upgrading Bishkek's bus fleet and transitioning to environmentally friendly transport.
As part of the visit, meetings are planned with the management of the CRRC Electric plant to discuss the supply of electric buses to Bishkek, and a project to build a similar plant in the capital is also being considered.
The introduction of electric buses is seen as part of a strategy to reduce carbon emissions, improve air quality and increase the energy efficiency of the capital's transport system.
