Bishkek and Perm agree to cooperate in a number of areas

A meeting between Bishkek Mayor Aibek Junushaliev and a delegation from Perm led by Mayor Eduard Sosnin took place in the capital's municipal assembly hall.

During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation within the framework of developing partnership relations between the cities of Bishkek and Perm.

Mayor Aibek Junushaliev expressed interest in exchanging experience in the fields of culture, youth policy and urban infrastructure management.

«Perm and Bishkek have a lot in common. They are industrially developed cities with a rich history and developed cultural management. I am confident that our meeting today is only the beginning of a great friendship between our cities and peoples», — said the head of Perm.

During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the city of Bishkek and the city of Perm.

This document could become the basis for developing specific areas of cooperation, ranging from cultural and educational exchanges to sustainable development and the digitalisation of the urban environment.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their gratitude for the discussion and their hope for further mutually beneficial cooperation.
