08/15/2025, 10:24On the sidelines of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting, Kyrgyz Health Minister Erkin Chechebaev and Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko signed a joint action plan for the development of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation in the field of healthcare for 2025–2026.
The document provides for the implementation of joint activities in key areas, including: the study of the possibility of establishing a multifunctional Kyrgyz-Russian friendship hospital, the training, retraining and professional development of Kyrgyz medical specialists in Russia, including in transplantology, oncology and genetics, and the exchange of experience in human resource management in healthcare and public health. They also agreed to cooperate in the treatment of cancer and the use of radiopharmaceuticals, to cooperate in the regulation of medicines and medical devices, and to provide medical care to Kyrgyz citizens in Russian medical institutions.
The signing of the plan was a significant step in strengthening the partnership between the two countries and is aimed at improving the quality of medical care and developing human resources in the healthcare sector.
