Kyrgyz businesses will have to adapt to Russia’s new goods tracking system — Amangeldiev

From 1 June, Russia is introducing the SPOT system for tracking goods, and Kyrgyz businesses will have to adapt to the new requirements. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev during a meeting with journalists as part of the ‘Open Cabinet’ project.

According to him, the new system involves the tracking of goods imported into Russia, as well as monitoring their ‘life cycle’. Consequently, Kyrgyz entrepreneurs will be obliged to declare their products and confirm the origin and movement of goods.

“A significant proportion of our exports is tied to the supply of goods to the Russian Federation,” noted Amangeldiev.

He emphasised that the authorities consider the move towards digitalisation and economic transparency to be the right course of action. According to the official, tax reforms and changes to the administrative system will continue in Kyrgyzstan, taking into account the scale of business and the volume of trade.

Amangeldiev also reported that, prior to amending the Tax Code, the authorities are consulting with entrepreneurs and relevant business sectors.
