According to the Law on Joint-Stock Companies, companies are required to allocate at least 25% of their net profit to dividend payments, provided that they are not in a state of actual or potential bankruptcy.
The most generous dividends per share were paid by OJSC “Ayyl Bank” (4,247.21 KGS per share), OJSC “Zavod Ainur” (3,300 KGS), the “Dostuk” hotel (3,295.5 KGS), and Central Depository (1,781.1 KGS). Among the leaders in terms of payments were Kyrgyz GIIZ (282.13 KGS), Arashan (384 KGS), and OJSC Business Center Ai-Peri (701.8 KGS).
In the banking sector, in addition to Ayil Bank, dividends were paid by such players as EcoIslamicBank (93.4 KGS), Bakai Bank (20.28 KGS), Optima Bank (9.37 KGS), and Mbank (2.78 KGS). The microfinance company ABN accrued 0.041 KGS per share.
Despite the overall increase in dividend activity, it is worth noting that the size of payments varies significantly: from a few tyyins (for example, 0.016 KGS at FinanceCreditBank) to thousands at large enterprises and banks.
