08/20/2025, 11:25In the first half of the year, microcredit organisations in Kyrgyzstan issued loans worth over 40.2 billion KGS, with more than 567,000 people receiving them. This info comes from the National Statistical Committee.
Compared to the same period in 2024, the number of borrowers increased by 1.2%, and the volume of microloans issued increased by 34%.
According to data from the Department of Finance and Price Statistics, more than 60% of the total volume of microloans was used by the population for consumer purposes.
Over 16% was allocated to the development of agriculture, and about 10% to trade and public catering. The remaining funds were distributed among construction, transport and communications, industrial production and other areas.

Compared to 2023, the volume of microloans issued almost doubled, from 23.6 billion to 40.2 billion KGS, and the number of recipients increased from 349,800 to 567,200 people.
