The projects are being implemented as part of the ‘Tunuk Suu’ programme, and some of the facilities are scheduled for completion in the near future.
In the Leylek District, in the village of Muras, construction of the system is almost complete — the project is 90% ready. Soon, more than 3,000 residents will be able to use clean drinking water. This is one of the region’s key projects, where access to high-quality water had previously been a problem.
Work is also underway in the village of Kara-Bulak in the Batken district. Here, plans include the construction of catchment facilities to collect spring water and the laying of 14 kilometres of water supply networks. Once the project is completed, around 4,000 people will gain access to water, as well as social facilities – two schools, two nurseries and a paramedic and midwifery centre.
In the Kadamzhay district, in the village of Sovetskoye, construction of a water supply system is also continuing. According to experts, the project will provide clean water to around 2,200 residents.
In addition, public consultations were held in the village of Muras, attended by local residents and government representatives. The main topic was the agreement on drinking water tariffs. Participants were informed that a sound tariff policy is essential for the stable operation of water supply systems in the future.
