The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic held a reporting meeting of the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine on the results of the first half of 2025. Key issues of phytosanitary control, crop protection, and the development of digital solutions were discussed.

From January to June, 272,000 tons, 20 million units, and 1,473 cubic meters of quarantine products were exported from Kyrgyzstan. Imports during the same period amounted to 542,300 tons, 23 million units, and 54,000 cubic meters. It is aimed at automating processes and transitioning to electronic document management. At the end of the half-year, budget revenues from the registration of agrochemicals and pesticides amounted to more than KGS 248,000. Minister Bakyt Torobaev instructed to strengthen pest control measures and accelerate digitization in order to increase the export potential of agricultural products.
