03/13/2026, 15:46A memorandum of understanding and cooperation in renewable energy was signed between Dongfang Electric International Corporation (DEC) and Chakan HPP.
The document was signed by Xiang Wang, Deputy General Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Division of the Chinese company, and Shakirzhan Saidov, General Director of Chakan HPP.
The memorandum aims to develop mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of renewable energy sources. The parties have identified potential cooperation in the implementation of renewable energy development projects as a priority area.
DEC is one of the leaders in energy engineering in China and is among the world's leading manufacturers of power generation equipment. The company specializes in the production of equipment for hydroelectric and thermal power plants, as well as for solar and wind power plants.
Today, the company is involved in a number of key energy projects in the Kyrgyz Republic, including the modernization of the Uch-Kurgan HPP and the launch of the second hydroelectric unit at the Kambarata HPP-2.
The signing of the memorandum opens up new opportunities for developing partnerships and exchanging experience in the field of introducing modern technologies in the renewable energy sector, as well as implementing promising projects aimed at strengthening energy security and the sustainable development of the country's energy sector.
